Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. proposes to construct the Turney Energy Center project. It will be a new natural gas-fired simple-cycle electric generating facility with approximately 45 acres of disturbance. The project site is approximately 2 miles southwest of Turney, in Clinton County, Missouri. The project includes construction of 1,000 feet of natural gas line, 1.5 miles of water line, 2 miles of transmission line, and reconstruction of 2.5 miles of transmission line.
