Ghislain and Savannah Beauplant have navigated a highly competitive Cape Cod Massachusetts real estate market for almost two years, armed with patience and perseverance. The family cites their success to having the right people, providing support and knowledge, to bring them to closing.

The people the family refers to is their USDA Single Family loan specialist Patty Whalen, with the USDA Rural Development Southern New England’s Area office in Wareham and their Realtor Karen Martin, Broker and Owner of Safe Harbor Realty in Westport, MA.

Savannah Beauplant prepared herself and the family for the long trek to home ownership by doing the research and preparing herself for the challenges of the market.

The research led Savannah to a USDA Rural Development Home Ownership Loan. The housing market they faced would pose the biggest challenges.

“It’s brutal! It is extremely brutal out there,” said Savannah.

“Get a team, have an agent to help you and a good lender that you are comfortable with,” said Karen Martin, the Beauplant’s real estate agent. “Get experienced people behind you and it will happen.”

The Beauplants used a USDA Rural Development 502 Direct Loan to make their dream of owning a home a reality. Rural Development offers variety of loans to buy an existing home, build a new home, and to repair the home you currently live in.
