Biden Administration Invests $803,352 in Mississippi through the USDA Rural Business Development Grant Program

JACKSON, Jan. 29th, 2024 – State Director Dr. Trina N. George today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently awarded grants totaling $803,352 to five projects in Mississippi under the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) program.

Rural Development Invests $618,000 to Strengthen Rural Economies in South Dakota

HURON, S.D., Jan. 24, 2024 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development South Dakota State Director Nikki Gronli today announced that it is investing more than $618,000 through three Rural Development programs in communities across South Dakota.

The investments are grants as part of the Rural Microentrepreneur Assitance Program, Rural Community Development Initiative Grants, and Housing Preservation Grants Program.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Florida State Director Lakeisha Hood recently announced that USDA is making investments that will expand markets for agricultural producers and strengthen American food and agriculture supply chains in Florida.

“Under the leadership of President Biden and Vice President Harris, USDA is partnering with entrepreneurs in rural areas to build brighter futures, connect business owners to new markets and create good jobs for generations to come,” said Hood.

200 USDA-Funded Projects Create Economic Opportunity in Underserved Rural and Native American Communities

WINTERHAVEN, Calif., Dec. 11, 2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Deputy Under Secretary Farah Ahmad today announced more than 200 projects to improve infrastructure, housing and economic conditions for underserved rural and Native American communities. These projects are funded by an $80.1 million investment from USDA.
