JAMESTOWN, N.D., June 6, 2024 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director Erin Oban today joined Anne Carlsen Center leadership, staff, and supporters and community members in Jamestown to celebrate the grand opening of their new, state-of-the-art facility.

“When USDA Rural Development invests in spaces like the Anne Carlsen Center, it’s about so much more than a campus and a building,” said Oban. “It’s about the ways in which the people at Anne Carlsen can continue to deliver such essential services and improve the quality of life for the individuals and families who come through these doors.” Audio: MP3, 0:19 sec., 469KB.

Back in 2022, the Anne Carlsen Center was awarded more than $34 million from USDA Rural Development through the Community Facilities Loan and Grant Program, Guaranteed Loan Program, and the Emergency Rural Health Care Grant Program for the construction of the new facility, providing expanded and enhancing the services and support they provide to the individuals and families they serve.
