USDA Invites Tribes to a Listening Session on How to Improve Rural Development's Environmental Review Process

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is hosting a listening session next week to collect feedback from tribal applicants on ways to improve Rural Development's environmental review process.

All federally-recognized tribes and tribal organizations that have applied for or received funding through one or more Rural Development programs are encouraged to participate.

Rural Development is inviting feedback on the environmental review policies and procedures in 7 CFR Part 1970. We recognize the unique circumstances that govern the environmental review process for projects on tribal lands. During this session, tribes and tribal organizations will have an opportunity to provide integral feedback on their experiences.
