USDA to Hold Two ReConnect Broadband Webinars in December
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., November 30, 2021 – USDA Rural Development will host a pair of webinars to guide applicants through the process of applying for the ReConnect Program broadband funding.
The ReConnect Program offers unique federal financing and funding options in the form of loans, grants, and loan/grant combinations to facilitate broadband deployment in areas of rural America that don’t currently have sufficient access to broadband.
This program will generate private sector investment to deploy broadband infrastructure to provide high-speed internet e-Connectivity to as many rural premises as possible, including homes, community facilities for healthcare and public safety, schools, libraries, farms, ranches, factories, and other production sites.
To learn how to apply for the ReConnect funding USDA will be hosting two webinars on consecutive Wednesdays December 8th and December 15th from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm (MST).
Both webinars will cover the same information:
● Tips for getting started in the system
● Live demonstration of the publicly available ReConnect Service Area Map
● Live demonstration of Application Intake System highlights
● An opportunity to ask questions about ReConnect slides, a transcript, and a recording of the webinar will be posted at the ReConnect website after the session.
