WASHINGTON, March 27, 2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small today announced two virtual events that will provide updates on funding available under the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

The webinars will be held over Zoom and will be led by USDA staff at the following dates and times:

· IRA REAP Stakeholder Call: Investing in America

March 31, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. ET 

 

· IRA REAP Training Webinar: Investing in America

April 4, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. ET 

In August 2022, Congress passed the IRA, the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic legislative package to reduce energy costs for families and create thousands of good-paying jobs for people across rural America.

REAP funds may be used to help agricultural producers and rural small businesses install renewable energy systems or to make energy-efficiency improvements.
