Investment to Medical Facility Serving 123,000
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C., March 17, 2021 –Various federal and state officials joined U.S. Department of Agriculture North Carolina Rural Development in a groundbreaking ceremony at Mount Olive Family Medicine today.
USDA-RD is investing $1.7 million in loans and grants to construct:
- A three thousand square foot workspace
- Nine additional exam rooms
- Four provider rooms
- A work-up room
- A conference room
- Restrooms
“Mount Olive is a growing rural community and needs to have the most up-to-date medical facility,” said a representative from North Carolina USDA Rural Development. “This facility will assure this community has quality care now and, in the years, to come.”
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas. This assistance supports infrastructure improvements; business development; housing; community facilities such as schools, public safety and health care; and high-speed internet access in rural areas.
