WASHINGTON, April 4, 2024 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Under Secretary Dr. Basil Gooden today announced that USDA is inviting applications for grants to strengthen rural cooperatives and expand access to new and better markets for people in rural America.

USDA Invests in Clean Energy to Reduce Energy Costs, Strengthen Florida Businesses

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) State Director Lakeisha Hood Moїse announced today that USDA is investing in renewable energy projects that lower energy costs for small businesses in Florida.

“Under the Biden-Harris Administration, USDA is committed to ensuring farmers, ranchers and small businesses are directly benefitting from both a clean energy economy and a strong U.S. supply chain,” said Hood Moїse.

Two Garfield County Entities Will Utilize $10.6 Million in Support from USDA Rural Development to Strengthen the Local Economy

Two Garfield County entities will be receiving a total of $10,660,000 in business capital assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD).  Crown Hospitality and S3 Glenwood LLC will be utilizing funding through the Business & Industry (B&I) Guaranteed Loan Program.

Bozeman, Mont., Jan. 17, 2024 – In 2023, USDA Rural Development in Montana awarded more than $2.2 million in direct funds to 10 rural small businesses and agricultural producers through its Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program, which is designed to help generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities, and increase overall producer income to grow local economies in rural and Tribal areas.
