Pennsylvania DLT project receives $490,381 grant

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced it is investing $42.3 million to help rural residents gain access to health care and educational opportunities. Rural areas are seeing higher infection and death rates related to COVID-19 due to several factors, including a much higher percentage of underlying conditions, difficulty accessing medical care, and lack of health insurance.

USDA-funded facility brings one-stop services to rural community of 2,000

U.S. Department of Agriculture Ohio Rural Development State Director David L. Hall was on hand today to help commemorate a ribbon cutting and open house for the Village of Arcanum’s new administration and police building.

State Director for Rural Development Joyce White today announced that U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $17 million in educational community facilities construction and improvements in Georgia as part of the Department’s $291 million announcement.

Georgia State Director for USDA Rural Development Joyce White today announced USDA investments in projects to provide essential services for nearly 300,000 people in rural areas across Georgia in Fiscal Year 2017.

   “Community Facilities investments by USDA are investments in rural prosperity,” White said. “Improving schools, public safety facilities and public works departments in communities improves the quality of life; we’re committed to the future of rural communities.”

U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development Community Programs Director for Michigan Christine Maxwell today joined local officials to celebrate the ground breaking on a 108 bed dormitory construction project at Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville, MI.

Today the Department of Agriculture announced a $99,999 grant award to South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) that will help Commercial Truck Driving students gain specialized training and meet the region’s need for qualified truck drivers.

Today the Department of Agriculture and Wiregrass Georgia Technical College announced four Rural Business Development Grant awards totaling $171,694.99 that will help prepare students and graduates to fill the demand for a technically skilled workforce. Funds will be used to purchase technical equipment for training Nursing program, Criminal Justice program and Welding program students for workforce readiness. 

Today the Department of Agriculture announced a $99,000 grant award to Coastal Pines Technical College that will help Commercial Truck Driving (CTD) students gain specialized training and meet the region’s need for qualified truck drivers.
